As of 4/8/11 there have been 11 gobblers killed. What an awesome season so far.

2010-2011 Hunting Season

The season is starting off good and bad. There seems to be several deer being seen and shot however no recoveries yet. Joe and his friend Mathew both shot does Friday morning however neither was able to recover them after a lengthy tracking job. Maybe next time there will be better results. We finally received much needed rain so hopefully the food plots will come in.

12/10/10...The first kill of the season happens to be a black shaded female coyote taken by Joe Frost.

12/11/10...Frosty continues his ways of punishing the game by taking a nice mature doe weighing 117 lbs. in the lower kudzu field at dark.

The deer seem to be moving more now that the weather has turned cold. There is much more sign in the woods. The next several weeks should be a good time to be in the woods because of the rubs and scrapes that are starting to appear. Good luck to everyone.

12/15/10...Randy Putman connected on a nice coyote this morning in the lower kudzu field. Thanks Randy for killing any and all coyotes you can.

12/18/10...Wade took a nice management 4 pt buck at 9:30am.

1/14/11...Wade took a 5 pt buck at the church property at 8:35am. He was only in the woods for 40 minutes before this 140lb buck came walking past him.

1/15/11...David took a nice 130lb 8 pt at Jimmy's.

1/30/11...Randy Putman connected on his first deer ever. He saw a couple other deer during his hunt before he was able to bag this nice spike. Randy Congrats on your first of many more to come.

Trailcam Photos 2010-2011

The deer are definitely starting to move now. They are starting to check scrapes more frequently.

Nice looking young buck working a mineral lick.

Here is the elusive black coyote that has been seen by several hunters. He appears to still be around.

These are just a few of the preseason photos we have collected. There have been lots of bucks and does on films. Here are a couple of really nice bucks working a mineral lick, and some young bucks feeding.

2010 Turkey Season

3/2010...Tim was the first to connect with a nice turkey. Him and David were set up and was able to connect on a nice bird.

3/19/2010...Well the 2010 Turkey Season has started off with a bang or should I say bang, bang, bang. David, Tim, and Tim's guest all connected on 3, yes I said 3 birds all at the same time. Great job guys just please leave some turkeys for the rest of us.

3/25/2010...Well once again the "Turkey Slayer" David Challendar, has connected on another turkey. It was taken about 10:30am and had an 11" beard. Please leave some for us David.

3/27/2010...Ok boys David has done it again. However this time it was not David, but his guest Bill "The Judge" that took another nice bird. That makes 5 birds so for this year. Bill on the left hand side of the picture below.

2009-2010 Hunting Season

The first kill of the year was taken by Wade with his bow.

12/19/09...Clay Challendar's friend killed a 120lb doe on 12/19/09 while hunting at the kudzu field behind David's house.
The rut will not be far off now with the spotting of numerous scrapes and rubs becoming more prevalent. We better all get ready and be on our toes.

12/22/09... Mathew Allred took a nice 4 point buck on David's RxR greenfield at 7:30 am. The buck was stinking, so the rut must be getting near.

2008-2009 Hunting Season

The 2008-2009 deer season turned out to be a tough one. A lot of deer were seen early in the season and they seemed to disappear midway through gun season. Wade missed a nice 6 point during archery season and John had an opportunity at a deer of a lifetime early in the season and was not able to capitalize. The rut turned out to be around Christmas time this year and this was a surprise to everyone since it is normally the last 2 weeks of January. All in all we had a great time and look forward to the addition of our hunting cabin this year. The cabin will enable us to fellowship more at a central location. we are looking forward to the 2009-2010 deer season.

Wade took this 8pt at the Honey Hill Stand at 10:30am on 1/16/09.

Clay Challendar took this 120lb 7pt buck on the railroad greenfield on opening day. It was his first buck ever. Congrats Clay.

Trail Camera Photos

This is the one that got away. Joe shot at this buck 1/15/10, but we were unable to locate his great buck. Maybe next time Joe.
